Senior Industrial Relations Officer, Clerk Grade 9/10

Position No: 741103. Head Office, Sydney, Permanent full-time. Total remuneration package valued to $96,295 pa including salary ($79,188 - $87,263), employer?s contribution to superannuation and leave loading.

Duties: Provides negotiation, advocacy and support through advice and research in negotiations with employee organisations/unions. Undertakes research for industrial relations matters particularly relating to development of NSWFB industrial policy and procedures.

Selection criteria: Sound knowledge of labour law and advocacy and a detailed knowledge of the operation of awards and industrial relations procedures in the NSW Public Service. Excellent analytical, negotiation/conciliation and communication skills with proven ability to maintain effective stakeholder relationships and client networks. Demonstrated experience and understanding of complex awards, applied in an industrially strong environment. Demonstrated experience in advocacy and appearances before the NSW Industrial Relations Commission. Sound knowledge of and experience in relevant computer based applications (eg Word).
